After successfully passing our tests, your product can finally be released and go into large scale production in our sustainable production facilities.
You receive your forewood product, adapted exactly to your requirements which is completely bio-based and manufactured environmentally friendly in Germany.
Our materials consists only of natural wood fibers and biopolymers as PLA. Therefore our materials are 100 % biobased and contain no substances of fossil origin.
Our applications show what they consist of, namely pure nature. Through the wood fibers you can not only see forewood, but also feel it.
We manufacture our products by injection moulding. This makes it possible for us to serve any shape according to your dimensions.
By using plant-based raw resources that bind carbon dioxide in their growth, our materials save about half of the carbon dioxide emission in direct comparison to conventional fossil plastic.
We accompany you through the process from the idea to your own forewood application. What you would otherwise have to put together at great expense can be obtained from us from a single source.

Returning raw materials to nature – that is the goal of organic recycling. This loop can be closed by 100% bio-based products that can be composted at the end of their product life cycle. Even if the products end up in nature by mistake or are used for energy recovery, they will not harm our plant. No microplastic is created when using degradable biopolymers, as they decompose completely according to their name. Even when burned, the carbon footprint does not increase as the CO2 was previously bound during plant growth.
Classical recycling is a good idea in theory, but not in practice. The actual recycling rate is very low, which is mainly due to challenges such as sorting purity and residual emptying. The use of recyclates is also limited. On the one hand, recyclates are not permitted for all types of products, and on the other hand, the quality of the recyclate deteriorates significantly with each cycle. Recycling should therefore be seen less as a circle and more as a spiral – downcycling is inevitable.

In 2019, some three years after their start-up was founded, the company was already producing well over one million compostable coffee capsules per year. A number that is growing rapidly. The two engineers had developed a completely new generation of coffee capsules from renewable raw materials.“

forewood is a young and dynamic company from the south of Germany, focussing on sustainable product development and manufacturing. For this purpose we have focused on the raw material that is available to us locally and in sustainable cultivation in large quantities in an environmentally friendly way – namely wood.
